The repair and the answer are separate

ReStory's official description says customer stories and player decisions affect lives and the shop. A technically correct repair does not automatically choose the preferred story outcome.

Read the conversation after the device is complete instead of clicking through it as a payment screen.

The conversation is a decision surface, not decoration after the repair.

Write down the decision point

Record the customer, the repaired device, the visible options, and the outcome you are trying to reach. That note is more useful than a spoiler-heavy list detached from context.

If you want to compare paths, preserve a save before the branch and confirm the game has finished saving before reopening it.

  1. Complete the repair.
  2. Read the full customer context.
  3. Identify the desired outcome.
  4. Save before the branch when possible.
  5. Record the selected response.

Avoid importing someone else's ending logic

Ending guides can reveal broad branch requirements, but patches may fix triggers or change edge cases. Verify the current build and do not assume one response alone determines the ending.

Track the sequence of meaningful decisions instead of reducing the story to a single final prompt.
