Connect the license to a job
A license is a progression gate, not just a collection item. Identify the customer request, device class, or competition step that needs it.
If no current task uses the unlock, compare the next required story step before spending.

Protect the follow-through cost
Buying access can still leave the shop unable to purchase the replacement parts for the first job. Keep a second reserve for the repair itself.
The safest timing is when the license and at least one complete job can be funded together.
- Name the locked job.
- Confirm the required license.
- Reserve repair-part cash.
- Buy the license.
- Complete the newly available work.
Do not copy a speed route blindly
A fast progression route may assume specific flips, story choices, or familiarity with every repair. If your cash or job order differs, preserve the next usable unlock rather than following the calendar exactly.
Record the first job that made each license pay for itself. That creates a route based on your play, not an abstract schedule.
