Use six verbs
A device can look complicated while the job remains simple. Reduce the work to request, inspect, disassemble, service, reassemble, and verify.
The sequence applies to consoles, handhelds, phones, music players, and computers without pretending their parts are identical.

Stop at the first disagreement
If the device shape, to-do list, or customer request disagrees with a guide, follow the current job. Continuing from the wrong state usually adds loose parts without solving the blocker.
Capture the screen and identify the last completed verb before testing a correction.
- Request
- Inspect
- Disassemble
- Service
- Reassemble
- Verify
Leave the bench clean
A finished checklist and a clean mat are two independent checks. Look for loose fasteners or removed components even after the job says complete.
That final scan protects the next repair from starting with another device's parts still in view.
